Remember, a toll free number does not replace your current phone number. Toll free numbers come in the form of 1-800 but can also be 1-888, 1-877, and 1-866. You can usually get the best monthly maintenance rates on 877 and 866 numbers.

VoIP Internet phone providers are now offering 800 numbers to their customers as an upgrade and for very little. You may want to check and see if your VoIP provider offers this, chances are they do.
